A Legacy of Excellence in Orthodontics
Dr. Bruce Evans has built his career on precision, compassion, and a deep-rooted commitment to the Rapid City community. With over 30 years of experience in orthodontics, Dr. Bruce’s journey began with a strong medical foundation. As a 5th generation resident of the Black Hills, he has dedicated his life to not only improving smiles but also making a lasting impact on those he treats.
"Orthodontics isn't just about straightening teeth-it's about building confidence and helping people feel better about themselves."
Educational Experience & Career Path
Dr. Bruce’s educational background reflects his dedication to excellence. After graduating from Central High School in Rapid City in 1975, he attended the University of South Dakota (USD) for his undergraduate studies. Following that, he graduated cum laude from USD’s medical school in 1984.
“I’ve always had a passion for healthcare and helping people, but it was when I saw the impact my father had on his patients that I realized orthodontics was where I could make the biggest difference.”
After completing a year-long internship at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Bruce attended dental school at the University of Florida, where he graduated number one in his class. He then moved to Minnesota for his orthodontic residency, where he earned a Master’s degree in Orthodontics. This extensive education, paired with his medical background, makes him uniquely qualified to treat complex cases with precision and care.
“The medical background has been invaluable in helping me understand the whole person, not just the dental issue at hand.”
